The Washington state Department of Health is currently accepting applications to fill two professional member vacancies on the Washington State Dental Hygiene Examining Committee (DHEC) as well as one public member vacancy!
What does DHEC do?
Operates under legislative mandate to protect the health and safety of the public, and to promote the welfare of the state by regulating the competency and quality of health care providers under its jurisdiction. Members of the committee prepare and conduct examinations for dental hygiene licensure.
Dental Hygiene Professionals looking to apply for this position must meet the following requirements:
Be licensed and have been actively practicing dental hygiene for a period of no less than 5 years.
Shall not be connected with any dental hygiene school.
Serve a term of 3 years beginning October 1, of the year in which they are appointed.
General Public Individuals looking to apply for this position must meet the following requirement:
The public member cannot have any connections with any dental hygiene program or be engaged in any practice or business related to dental hygiene.
