Our Cause

DHAW is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for Washington State Registered Dental Hygienists. Our mission is to protect public health by promoting the profession of Dental Hygiene and ensuring the appropriate education and licensure of dental professionals. We aim to provide essential professional and legislative information to all licensed Dental Hygienists, empowering them to stay informed about relevant state legislation that may impact their practice. Through various media and communication channels, we support legislation that advances the profession, enhances public health, and improves access to care.

Mission

Championing Dental Hygiene

Dental Hygiene Advocates of Washington exists to champion the profession of Dental Hygiene in Washington State and ensure appropriate education and licensure of dental professionals as a means of protecting the health and safety of Washington State citizens. Our intent is to be a source of professional and legislative information for all licensed Dental Hygienists, keeping them aware of proposed state and national legislation that may influence their scope of practice. We intend to support legislation that advances the profession and enhances public health and access to care using various media and communication modalities.
